Friends of Millard Canyon

The Friends of the Millard Canyon is a community-based volunteer advisory committee of the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy dedicated to the preservation and stewardship of Millard Canyon. The Friends plan community programs, lead hikes and hold restoration days, among other things. You can contact us at

This past spring & summer Friends of Millard were busy hosting school and community groups doing habitat restoration in the canyon.  They were also nurturing 50 newly trees (Coast and Canyon Live Oak, Sycamore and Big Leaf Maple) planted by the Conservation Corps and funded by a grant AFC obtained from the County's LA Reforestation Initiative.  More trees will be planted this fall 2015.
